Clinical Programs
The mission of the Occupational and Industrial Orthopaedic Center (OIOC) Clinic is “To provide excellence in multidisciplinary evidence based care in a supportive and goal oriented environment; and to promote education and clinical research for the treatment and prevention of work and non-work related musculoskeletal disorders”.
The OIOC clinic provides access to:
- Complete medical and diagnostic services
- Physical therapy
- Psychological services including cognitive-behavioral pain and stress management
- Functional capacity evaluations
- Multidisciplinary Return To Work (RTW) programs
- Ergonomic evaluations
The OIOC's comprehensive package of clinical services is designed to return patients to their pre-injury functional status and to their normal life activities. All patients require one or more individual evaluation that may be conducted by a board-certified physician and/or physiatrist, a licensed physical therapist, a licensed psychologist and/or a certified ergonomist.
The clinic is a Center of Excellence and is a division of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute. It is conveniently located in Greenwich Village, New York City.
